An independent studio in Bristol. I pick a place whose website is letting it down, build the site I think it should have, and then write to the owner. Everything below is live, and none of it was commissioned.

Nine websites for restaurants, country estates and the people who run them. Every word, price and photograph on each one belongs to the place it is about. Where I have used stock film for atmosphere it says so, on the page.

A late Georgian house at the head of a wooded valley, where five worlds each needed their own architecture rather than one template five times.

A Michelin starred dining room on the water, built around the light that comes off it rather than the darkness of the room.

The studio
Signal Studio is one person in Bristol. I do the research, the writing, the design, the build and the deploy, which is why there are nine of these and not ninety.
Every build is judged before it ships: one pass for honesty, one for craft, one for how it holds up when the motion is switched off, the connection is slow or the screen is a phone. A build that fails does not go out.
